Overall not a pleasant experience. You will not find a lot of options on the menu and the water is most probably tap. Even though in Italy you pay a service feed which includes bread, the waiter failed to bring it to the table until we requested it. Sadly, the bread was incredible dry. No one came to the table to clean it, only when we asked for coffee.
We had:
> Tagliolini with duck - not good, watery and tasteless
> Spinach ravioli - good
> Tuna fillet with pistachio crust - good, but only served with avocado cream + 1 LETTUCE LEAF which the waiter missed to inform us
> Scottona burguer - good
A very good experience for lunch! We arrived a little bit later in the afternoon. The wine was a little stale and the carbonara was a little salty, and despite speaking English the waiter did not explain the dishes thoroughly. A good carbonara however!
Classic Roman taste!
All dishes are original from Roman cuisine, so if you are looking for something commercial this is not the place to go.
Portions were not big but super tasty.
You can not miss out on the Tiramisù when in the Bocconcino.
Good Italian food near Colosseum. You have to use the QR code to access the menu as there is no printed menu, which was problematic because I couldn’t get the cellular signal (Vodafone) at all inside the restaurant. They seem to have free wifi but the staff didn’t tell me about it. I literally had to walk out the door to download the menu and return to my table to order. They carry some traditional Roman menu at mid-range price.
Good attention, the waiters always trying to help, the food was OK but nothing extraordinary, the green salad did not have anything apart from lettuce and we were not warned, the carbonara were OK in taste, but not so good and additionally was short in quantity for the price. Would not recommend for the price.
The Suppli and Tiramisu were OK, however I did not enjoy the Carbonara, it had a prevalent taste of burnt bacon.
Our visit to Il Barroccio was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we stepped in, the staff, particularly Giovanni, made our dining experience unforgettable. Giovanni's infectious enthusiasm and exceptional service added a delightful touch to the evening. The food was also good. The lively atmosphere and impeccable customer service made our time here truly special. We laughed, savored every bite, and left with hearts full of joy. Highly recommended!
Grazie mille!
Very nice antipasti plate, great wine and a fantastic clam and octopus pasta. Service was great and most importantly, we had a good time!
